What are my payment options?
As the rest of the world moves online, so too do your options for paying your bills with Synergy. However, while this is a convenience we offer our customers, it's not mandatory, and there are plenty of options that let you make payments in a manner that's convenient to you. Check out the list below:
On our website
Pay your bills conveniently and securely on our website. Simply have your bill and credit or debit card handy to quickly pay your bill, so you can get on with your day.
Just note, a small transaction fee of 0.69% (incl. GST) will apply to American Express, Visa and Mastercard payments. From 3 December 2017 this transaction fee will be charged at the time of payment on our website. Any applicable transaction fees for payments prior to this date will be added to your next Synergy bill.
Set and forget by registering for Direct Debit. We’ll debit the charges on your bill automatically from your nominated bank account or credit/debit card, whenever your bill is due to be paid.
Customers can choose to pay their Direct Debit payments from their bank account without incurring a transaction fee. If you prefer to pay via credit or debit card, please be aware that a small transaction fee of 0.69% (incl. GST) will apply. This fee will be added to your next Synergy bill.
Once you've received your power bill, log into your online banking account through your chosen financial provider and make the payment. You'll need the Synergy biller code (2600) and reference number as is included on the bill.
Sick of receiving paper bills? Opt for BPAY View to receive bills online through BPAY, a convenient payment method that does it's bit for the environment too.
Over the phone
You don't have to rely on the internet to pay your bills with Synergy. Call us on 1300 650 900 and have your debit or credit card number, expiry date and bill payment number at the ready. There's a transaction fee of 0.69% for American Express, Visa and Mastercard options. From 3 December 2017 this transaction fee will be charged at the time of payment. Any applicable transaction fees for payments prior to this date will be added to your next Synergy bill.
For home energy customers receiving payments from Centrelink, you have the option to have your bill automatically paid. The service ensures the bill payments are taken out in small, easy-to-manage quantities.
With a cheque or money order, Synergy customers can conveniently pay their bill remotely via mail. Tear off your payment slip from your latest bill and send it to:

Those looking to do things the old fashioned way still can. Simply take your latest bill to the post office and pay any way you please.
