Synergy Large Business tariff

Don't forget the small print

Prices current as at 1 July 2023. Prices are subject to change from time to time and other fees and charges may also apply. Prices listed include GST unless otherwise stated. Synergy calculates its tariffs to four decimal places. Electricity is charged in cents per ‘unit’ unless otherwise specified. A ‘unit’ is one kilowatt-hour (kWh).
If your supply address is located in a suburb where Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) is available, to be eligible for the Synergy Business Time of Use® (R1) tariff you must have an Advanced Meter. If AMI is not currently available in your suburb but becomes available at any time in the future, you will be required to upgrade your meter to an Advanced Meter to remain eligible for this plan. Customers on this plan who elect to ‘opt-out’ of AMI and do not upgrade their meter will be reverted to the Synergy Business Plan ( L1).

What you need to know
This is a standard electricity tariff for business customers who are connected at a high voltage. It consists of a fixed daily supply charge and a block energy charges that decrease as your electricity consumption rises.

Eligibility

Eligible business customers will have electricity supplied at a high voltage (e.g. 6.6kV, 11kV, 22kV or 33kV). The premises must also use 50,000 units or more per annum, or 137 units or more on average per day. Businesses must own all equipment, except the metering equipment on the load side of your high voltage terminals. This means you provide the high voltage main switch and transformers.

Organisations that may be eligible for the Large Business tariff are:

  • Government departments
  • Port authorities
  • Heavy machinery producers
  • Mining companies
