Synergy appoints Kurt Baker as Chief Executive Officer

Synergy is pleased to announce the appointment of Kurt Baker as Chief Executive Officer, following a successful period as Acting CEO. 

Mr Baker brings more than three decades of experience in the energy sector and has led Synergy through a period of significant transformation and delivery. His appointment reflects the Board’s confidence in his leadership and the strategic direction already in motion. 

Chair of the Board, Michelle Shepherd, said: “Kurt has demonstrated exceptional leadership, deep industry knowledge, and a strong commitment to our customers and community. We are confident he will continue to lead Synergy with purpose and integrity.” 

Mr Baker said: “I’m honoured to lead Synergy at such a pivotal time in our energy transition. I look forward to continuing our work to deliver reliable, accessible and sustainable energy for Western Australians.”
