Eligible organisations:
- Community Clubs & Youth groups e.g. Scouts, WA Police Youth Group
- Non-profits e.g Saving Animals from Euthanasia, People Who Care (Inc)
- Non-profit accommodation e.g. Youth Crisis Centre
- Fire/rescue groups e.g. Surf Life Saving Clubs
Effective 1 July 2022. Prices are subject to change from time to time and other fees and charges may also apply. Prices listed include GST unless otherwise stated. By law we calculate our prices to four decimal places.
The Community Service Plan (C1) tariff is a Government regulated electricity tariff specifically designed for small voluntary and charitable organisations.
If you believe your organisation is eligible, please apply in writing to Synergy, and provide evidence which shows that your organisation meets all the relevant eligibility criteria as listed in the Energy Operators (Electricity Retail Corporation)(Charges) By-Laws 2006.
Eligibility
- Your organisation is a direct customer of Synergy
- Your organisation is voluntary and non-profit, providing a public service and is available to any member of the public without discrimination
- Endorsement by the Commissioner of Taxation that the organisation is exempt from income tax under Subdivision 50-B of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997
- The organisation is not a Commonwealth/State/Local government department, agency or instrumentality, nor does it have majority funding from one of these organisations
Required documentation
- A copy of a Synergy bill
- Written declaration on the organisation’s letterhead from the authorised representative
- A copy of Endorsement as an Income Tax Exempt charity under subdivision 50-B of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997
- A copy of audited financial accounts or Annual report from the previous financial year
