Synergy provides support to Western Australians affected by south west fires

Synergy has announced relief measures to support its customers affected by the south west fires.

Synergy chief executive officer Jason Waters said Synergy would waive the outstanding debt of any customers whose homes were destroyed by the recent bushfires.
In addition, the account establishment fee for customers who had to move into alternative accommodation as a result of the fires would be waived. For customers who have lost their home and subsequently rebuild, the account establishment fee would also be waived.

Mr Waters said it was a stressful time for families whose homes had been destroyed and the waiving of the outstanding debts and account establishment fees was a small way to help those impacted.

“This is a traumatic time for families who have lost their homes, as well as the south west community, and our thoughts go out to everyone affected by these fires,” Mr Waters said.

Customers affected by the fires should contact 13 13 53 to discuss their circumstances.
