Commercial solar inverters

Your inverter converts solar energy generated by your commercial solar panels into usable electricity for your business.

On a sunny day, the cells in your solar panels catch the sun’s rays.

This energy is sent as direct current (DC) electricity to your inverter.

Your inverter converts the DC electricity into alternating current (AC) electricity.

Most lighting, commercial equipment and appliances are powered by AC electricity.

Quality inverters

With any investment in new equipment or infrastructure for your business, you need to select the most suitable option to give you the best return on your investment while considering your business goals.

The quality of the inverter you choose can have a significant impact on the performance of your commercial solar PV system. For example, if you choose an inverter which is rated 96% to 98% for efficiency, this means it will convert almost all of the solar energy generated by the sun into electricity for your business.

Solar tip: Make sure your inverter meets the required Australian Standards and is approved by the Clean Energy Council, which is a necessary requirement to connect your solar PV system to the Western Power network (other technical requirements also apply). Solar suppliers can advise on whether your inverter meets the technical requirements, any warranties that are applicable and predicted performance of your inverter (and other elements of your solar PV system) before you sign a contract.
