SolarReturn Business

Can my business claim a discount or rebate if I invest in a solar system?
For systems smaller than 100kW, you may be eligible to receive a discount if you want to trade your small-scale Technology Certificates.
Do I need local council approval to install solar?
This varies depending on your individual circumstances. It’s best to double check with your solar installer and local council before proceeding with a solar power system.
How long is the warranty period for a SolarReturn system

The equipment that we use for Business SolarReturn products is made to last. All the solar panels and inverters that we offer come with industry leading warranty periods.

How long will it take for my SolarReturn system to be installed?

Installation times vary depending on a few things including Western Power approval, if your meter needs to be changed or just reprogrammed and the availability of our installers.

Generally, from the time we receive your signed final offer until the day on installation, you’ll have the solar system installed in 4-8 weeks.

How long will it take to pay back my solar system?
The payback period of your system will depend on your business's unique circumstances. These factors include the amount of electricity your business consumes, what time of the day you use the most energy, the size of your system and the price you paid for its installation.

With commercial systems drastically reducing in price over the past few years, the payback period for many businesses has reduced but not all businesses will benefit financially from investing in solar.

How much will my solar system cost my business?

Costs vary depending on the size and location of your system. With a Business SolarReturn system, we take in to account your consumption history, location, usage patterns and how much you currently pay for electricity.

There are also many factors that can influence how much you'll save with solar including financial, hours of operation and available roof space. That's why we'll be upfront with you, if solar isn't right for your business.

By matching and designing a system that's right for your business, you're not going to be installing (and paying) for extra capacity that you don't need. And that could mean, a faster SolarReturn and return on investment.

What access will the SolarReturn installer need to my business premises?

They will need a clear path to your roof  that is wide enough to accommodate a cherry picker.

What happens on the day?

The installation is normally completed within 1 day. Here's the key steps that the installer will do on the day to get you up and running:

  1. They'll start with setting up the mounting frames on your roof
  2. Next up is attaching the solar panels to these frames
  3. The inverter is then installed on an external wall close to the fuse box
  4. It's then time to connect the electricity cables from the solar panels to the inverter
  5. New safety switches will be added to your fuse box for the solar power system before connecting the inverter to the fuse box
  6. Last but not least, they'll add stickers to you fuse box to notify electricians and emergency services of the presence of your solar power system

What if Western Power doesn’t approve my business solar system application?

Western Power in some cases may not approve the system that has been applied for at the business premises.

Where this happens, Western Power may provide various options, including approving a smaller sized system, or providing the option to upgrade the network infrastructure servicing your property, for a fee, to connect the system.

If your system application is rejected we will work through different options with you and Western Power.
