Synergy releases 2019 Annual Report

Synergy has continued to improve its business operations in FY2018-19, despite a challenging energy landscape. Synergy Chief Executive Officer Jason Waters said year-on-year the business continued to perform well, but the overall net loss after tax reflected the ongoing challenges confronting an increasingly complex electricity supply environment.

Synergy shines light on crisis support over the festive season

Synergy is partnering with Lifeline WA to bring WA’s tallest Christmas tree to Elizabeth Quay from December 2 to raise awareness of Western Australians in crisis over the festive season. The Lights for Lifeline powered by Synergy and you campaign aims to save lives this Christmas by raising much-needed funds that go towards training volunteers to take calls from people in crisis. More than 50,000 LED lights on the 15 metre tree will be lit up to represent the number of calls for help Lifeline WA receives every year.

Synergy apprentices take on electric racing

Apprentices at Synergy’s Muja Power Station are plugging into the power of electric vehicles with the aim of earning first place in this year’s ICT Global EV Challenge. Each year, a team of apprentices from the power station, near Collie, enter the state-wide competition to build and race a single-seat electric vehicle.
