Synergy Xmas Lights Trail shines brighter with record registrations and donations

A stunning Christmas lights display in Baldivis has won the 2023 Synergy Xmas Lights Trail Peoples’ Choice Award – Best Lights Display.

The crowd favourite, Wendy’s Winter Wonderland, lit up the street with a huge light display, music, Santa’s grotto and presents for children.

This year’s Synergy Xmas Lights Trail was the biggest yet, with 527 houses registered.

For the seventh year running, the Synergy Xmas Lights Trail has been connecting communities at Christmas time by building a virtual lights trail in the Perth suburbs.

This year Synergy donated $1 to Ruah Community Services for every house check-in on the trail. This initiative raised more than $8,500 for the support service.

Overall, Synergy will donate $50,000 for Ruah, including $10,000 for energy efficiency upgrades for Ruah crises services for women and children. The money raised will help West Australians experiencing homelesses, family and domestic violence and mental health challenges.

Synergy Xmas Lights Trail 2023 winner Wendy Austin was thrilled to be recognised for her decorating efforts and the $2500 Synergy account credit prize.

Other winners included:
• Second place Peoples’ Choice Award – Best Lights Display: Vlade Radalj, Balcatta
• Peoples’ Choice Award – Best Regional Lights Display Award: Seljo Johnso, Millbridge
• Best Solar Light Display Award: Mario Carboni, Alexander Heights

Synergy CEO David Fyfe congratulated all of the winners and thanked participants for making the trail such a success.
