Synergy Partner with Matt and Kim to the Rescue
Synergy is thrilled to announce we have signed up as a major sponsor for Matt and Kim to the Rescue: Episode 6.
The TV renovation special is hosted by previous Block contestants, Matt and Kim, as they team up with an army of generous West Aussies to deliver life changing renovations to families in need.
Episode 6:The Flavelle Family.
Pete and Simone Flavelle are a creative couple - Pete is an artist and Simone is an actress. They are also the parents of Angus and Hugo. Angus was born with high spectrum autism and is in constant need of care. Hugo was born with cerebral palsy and is wheelchair bound.
The Flavelles embraced their children’s situations with pride by creatively representing them in many projects run through DAADA, a foundation that provides art therapy for disabled and disadvantaged children established by mother Simone. In a strange twist of fate, Simone set this foundation up before she’d had kids.
But the challenging nature of bringing up two kids with serious, ongoing medical conditions saw many things give way in the Flavelle house. Pete’s art career came to a standstill and the house began to dilapidate as rising hospital bills took precedence. That’s where Synergy’s volunteers and SolarReturn comes in!
The cast, crew and sponsors of Matt & Kim episode 6 have brought to life the creative ideas of Matt and Kim over just 4 days, hundreds of trade specialists and workers transformed the house into a beautiful, modern, fully equipped and functional home for this special, one of a kind family.
Synergy is thrilled to support the giant home transformation via both men and women on the ground to help with the renovations, and financially via the donation of a SolarReturn and energy monitoring system for the family. The SolarReturn system will be matched to the Flavelle’s electricity requirements based on their past energy use, trends and patterns. Synergy is also proud to offer the Flavelle’s free electricity for a year.
This is Synergy’s first time taking part in this amazing community project and we’re very thankful to have had the opportunity to provide a most deserving family with a complete energy management solution.
