Getting ready to connect

As your one stop solar shop, we take care of all the paperwork, make sure any solar rebates that you may be eligible for will be applied and keep track of your electricity bill savings.

The first thing to do is request a quote so we can call you back with a (great) offer. If you're ready to take the next step, here's what you need to do to start your SolarReturn today...

More about the solar rebates...

Not only is harnessing energy from the sun great for the environment, it’s also a great way to reduce your energy costs. Plus if you're eligible, we'll also buy back any excess energy you export back to the grid - this is what we call the Renewable Energy Buyback Scheme (REBS).

Synergy will buy back any excess energy you export back to grid. Any money earned will be displayed as a credit on your next bill. REBS is available to residential customers, non-profit organisations and educational institutions that have a small solar system between 500 watts and 5kW.

Do I need local council approval to install solar?

This varies depending on your individual circumstances. It’s best to double check with your solar installer and local council before proceeding with a solar power system.

Purchasing solar elsewhere? We'll still take care of the connection and any eligible rebates

Firstly, you'll need to apply to Synergy to get your reference number so you can then apply to Western Power to connect your system to the grid.

We'll give you a reference number in 1 business day. Have a copy of your bill, your solar system size and your installer's contact details handy.
