Synergy to light up Leederville carnival in 2017

Synergy is pleased to announce that it will once again be playing a major role in this year’s Light Up Leederville Carnival on Sunday 3 December 2017.

The ‘Light Up Leederville Carnival powered by Synergy’ will expect to attract around 80,000 visitors to Leederville’s renowned cafe strip. Parts of Carr, Newcastle, Oxford and Vincent streets will be closed to traffic for the vibrant community event to be filled with around 250 market stalls.

Locals and visitors will also have the chance to indulge in outdoor restaurants, cafes and pop‐up bars, as well as listen to live music across various entertainment stages. Synergy will light up the carnival with renewable energy, powering all of the carnival’s temporary structures, stalls, food vendors, stages, entertainment and activities.

In addition, as part of this year’s Synergy Xmas Lights Trail, the Synergy Elves will perform a musical show to encourage carnival goers to support Lifeline WA’s Shine a Light for Life Christmas appeal. The Synergy Elves Tiny Home, which is covered in thousands of solar powered lights, will also be at the event to bring the festive spirit.

Synergy marketing manager Kelley Yeats said the Synergy Xmas Lights Trail provided a unique opportunity for people to raise thousands of dollars for Lifeline WA.

We are aiming to reach as many of our customers as possible by creating an experience for people of all ages in both metropolitan and regional areas to enjoy the spirit of the festive season, while raising awareness about Lifeline WA,” Ms Yeats said.

The winner of the Local Business #ShineaLightforLife window competition will announced by Mr John Carey MLA, Member for Perth at 7.40pm at the Main Stage .

Those who head down to the street party will also be given the unique opportunity to pedal one of four bikes at the Synergy Race Track Rally trailer, which will then power mini EVs on a make-shift race track.

The Leederville Carnival will run from 2pm to 9pm and the Synergy Elves will be performing from 6pm.
