Energy management
Demand response
Make money by controlling your business's energy use
Are you able to temporarily reduce your energy demand? Synergy Demand Response is simple and can reward you with regular payments to be available, as well as further payments if you actually reduce demand when required.
Typically when the demand for electricity exceeds the capacity of generators to supply power, power outages can result. In WA this is unlikely due to the requirement to have excess electricity supply available, primarily through peaking power stations.
Building new peaking power stations to handle these occasional periods of excess electricity demand is very expensive. And now, rather than increasing supply during those peak times Synergy has developed Demand Response for a more cost effective solution for the community and an additional reward for you.
How it works
Synergy Demand Response enlists businesses who are able to temporarily reduce their energy consumption by reducing their demand or sourcing power via onsite generation. Synergy works with these businesses to determine how, and how much load-reduction is appropriate.
As a participating business you would be on-call to respond to peak energy ‘events’. In return, you would receive access to energy reporting and forecasting tools, plus regular monthly payments from Synergy, even if you are never called upon to cut your energy use. If you were called upon, you would be paid for the reduction of energy your business delivers during each event.
