Q: When will I get my first bill?
- Your meter is read once every two months. You’ll receive your first bill depending on your particular area’s scheduled meter date.

Q: How often do I receive my bills?
- Residential customers will receive a bill every 2 months.

Q: How can I pay for my bill?
You can pay your bill by credit card or VISA/MasterCard debit card*, direct debit, BPay or at an Australia Post outlet.
*A transaction fee of (0.7% incl. GST) will apply on accounts that have nominated a credit card or Visa/MasterCard debit card for payment.

Q: Can I get my bills emailed to me?
- You can register to have your bills emailed to you by registering for My Account on the Synergy website.

Q: Can my spouse query the account?
- You can add your spouse, or any other person you would like to have access to your account. The person listed as a contact on your account will be able to make enquires regarding your account.

Q: Can I have both mine and my partner’s names on the bill?
- It is only possible to have the bill in one person’s name. You may add another individual as a contact person so that they are able to access details about the account, however only one name will appear on your bill.

Q: Do I have to be home when my meter is read?
- As long as the meter reader has access to your electricity meter, you don’t need to be home.

Q: Can you call me before my meter is read?
- Your meter is read by the network operator, Western Power, every two months. It is not possible to call you advising when your meter is going to be read. If the meter reader has problems accessing your electricity meter, please call 13 13 53 to arrange a suitable access arrangement.

Q: Can I lock my meter box?
- You can lock your meter box as long as the lock is an approved Western Power lock. An approved Western Power lock can be purchased from hardware stores.

Q: I have an eligible concession card. How much will my rebate be?
- The concession rebate amounts to the daily supply charge. The current daily supply charge is 40.14c per day. So the amount of your rebate will vary depending on the amount of days in the billing period. If you have children listed on your concession card you will be entitled to an increased rate of rebate.

Q: Can I add my concession card on more than one account?
- No, the concession card guidelines are governed by the Office of State Revenue and the rebate is only able to be applied to one account, your main residence.

Q: Can I add my partners’ concession card to my account?
- If your partner is listed as a contact on your account you can add their concession card.
