Understanding my bill
Are you having trouble understanding your Synergy bill?
To help you understand what all the information means, we’ve prepared an explanatory guide through the different areas of your bill.
Simply hover your cursor over the areas of the bill example below highlighted by the red arrows for further information on that section. To view the reverse of the bill, click the back button below.
- Account Number This identifies you as a Synergy customer at a particular property. Please refer to this number when contacting our Call Centre, or when registering for My Account
- Previous Account
This shows the value of your previous account. - Previous Payment
How much you paid on your previous bill. - Outstanding Amount
How much, if any, you still owe on your last bill. - Current Charges
The total cost of electricity for the current supply period. Details are shown on the back of the account. - Due date
Please pay your account by this date. [Payment options]. - Total Amount Due
The total amount to be paid on your account. - Graph
This graph compares your energy use between the last 2 periods and the same time last year. - Customer Messages
This area will show messages of interest. - Average Daily Consumption & Cost
The average daily consumption and cost of the electricity used in the billing period. - Payment number
You will need this number to make payments by BPAY, to set up BPAY View through your internet banking site, and to make a payment over the phone with our automated credit card payment system. - Due Date
Please pay your bill by this date. You can pay online, or via a number of other payment options. - Total Amount Due
The total amount to be paid on your account. - Payment Options
To make paying your bills easier, we offer a range of options. For a full list, visit our Payment Options page. - Customer Name
Name of the individual(s) for the Synergy account. You will need to enter this name exactly as it appears on the bill when registering for My Account
