Choosing a solar system for your rental property can help the environment by generating energy with little or no greenhouse gas emissions, creating sustainable energy which your tenants can use to power their home.

    Solar can make your rental property more appealing to potential tenants, not only because of the environmental benefits, but they will be able to claim the Renewable Energy Buyback scheme* payment of 7c per unit for the net export of electricity.

    In addition eligible residential tenants may also participate the State Government’s Residential net Feed-in Tariff scheme† subsidy of 40 c per unit for the net export of electricity. This means your solar system could be worth to up to 47 cents to your residential tenant for every unit of electricity your solar system generates and exports the solar electricity you produce but don’t use.
