When you sign up to SmartPower your existing meter may need to be replaced with a special SmartPower meter that records the time of day, and amount of electricity that is used in half hourly blocks.
Before you begin:
You will need to decide what type of SmartPower meter is best for your home (single phase or three phase); to help you do this Synergy has some basic guidelines that will help you:
- If you have a small of medium sized home (up to 2 bedrooms) with very few appliances you will probably need a single phase meter
- If you have a large home (3 or more bedrooms) with appliances such as
- a bore pump
- an air conditioner (either reverse cycle or ducted air)
- a pool pump
