Fees - Credit & Debit cards

There’s a small fee attached to all credit card or Visa/MasterCard debit card payments you make to us. It’s a standard charge which has been in place since 1 July 2008, to cover the transaction fees we’re charged by credit card institutions.

A transaction fee of 0.7% incl.GST will apply on accounts that have nominated a credit card or Visa/MasterCard debit card for deductions.

Some people may be exempt from credit card fees. Senior concession cardholders and Veterans’ Affairs Gold cardholders (War Widow, Dependent, Totally and Permanently Incapacitated) are automatically exempted. If you’ve only received your card recently, you can contact us to check that we’ve got you registered for exemption.
