SmartPower meter installation prices
The charges for installing a SmartPower meter in new and existing homes are detailed below.
If you are building a new home where electricity has not been connected, please discuss the best type of meter for your electricity use with the electrical contractor or builder to make sure they install the most suitable meter for your needs.
Your SmartPower meter installation or programming fee will be charged in full on your next Synergy bill.

A SmartPower meter is not transferable to any other property. The meter stays
where it is installed, even if the customer sells the property and/or moves.
The SmartPower meter always remains the property of the network operator,
Western Power.
To read your SmartPower meter, scroll through the meter's display register by pressing the Scroll button located on the top right-hand side of the meter. To move forward through the display register you will need to press the scroll button each time.
Reading your standard single phase direct connected meter
The tabe below shows the various functions your standard single phase direct connected meter (EM1000, 1P2W, 100A-Code 0200) will display.

Reading your standard three phase direct connected meter
The table below shows the various functions your standard three phase direct connected meter (EM3330, 3P4W, 125A-Code 0350) will display.

To determine your electricity charges multiply your usage figure displayed on the meter by the electricity rate that applies during that period.
As well as your SmartPower rates, you are also charged a daily supply charge. To calculate your daily supply charge multiply the number of days since your last bill by 25.57cents +.
