The A1 Tariff is the standard residential tariff, available to private dwellings and used solely for residential purposes. It charges you the same flat rate regardless of when and which time of day electricity is used.

The B1 Tariff is an off-peak water-heating tariff available to customers using the South West Interconnected System (SWIS) for residential water heating during a six-hour period between 11pm and 6am Western Standard Time (the period is 12midnight to 7am in Western Summer Time ie when daylight saving applies in Western Australia).
Both the supply and energy charges of the B1 Tariff are lower than the corresponding charges of the residential A1 Tariff, reflecting the lower cost of producing electricity during off-peak periods.

We know it’s a mouthful, but the Residential & Business K1 Tariff is great if you live and work on the same premises. It’s a combined tariff that suits anyone who uses electricity partly for residential and partly for business purposes. The daily supply charge of the K1 Tariff is the same as the supply charge of the residential A1 Tariff. The first 20 kWhrs of consumption per day, or approximately 610 kWhrs per month, are also charged at the residential rate.
Consumption of 20 kWhrs per day is typical of South West Interconnected System (SWIS) residential customers and has therefore been used as the ‘residential allowance’ under the K1 Tariff. All consumption greater than 20 kWhrs per day is charged at the same rates as those under the business L1 Tariff.
Situations that would make you eligible for the K1 Tariff include:
Please note supply charge rebates, applicable to customers on the residential A1 Tariff, are not available to customers charged under the K1 Tariff.
