If you are a Residential Customer and rely on a continuous supply of electricity to run critical medical equipment, as designated under the Life Support Equipment Subsidy Scheme, you can be registered with Synergy as a sensitive power customer.
While the network distributor (Western Power) will endeavour to maintain a continuous supply to all residential customers, it is essential that any medical situations relying on the continuous supply of power is registered.
Western Power will take these customers into account when the order of power restoration is determined.
How to Register
To register, download and complete the Application for Life Support Identification on this website, or call 131353 and request an application form to be sent out in the mail.
Applications are required to be renewed every twelve months.
While our network distributor (Western Power) respects the needs of medical support customers, they can’t guarantee that you won’t experience long interruptions. For instance, in a major disaster or incident, it may not always be possible to provide faster restoration. It is recommended that you discuss a plan with your doctor or medical service provider to deal with a long power interruption.
If your electricity supply is ever interrupted…
Different situations need different responses.
Evaluate your situation first, then decide on the best action to take.
