Power Quality Audits

Power quality can be a major issue facing many large customers but few have the necessary equipment or expertise to accurately monitor power quality within their plant.

A power quality audit may help you find ways to improve efficiency and save energy.

What a power quality audit involves

Over a two-week period, we’ll measure power quality parameters using sophisticated recording equipment. Our engineering experts will then analyse the data collected and write a comprehensive report for you.

The report outlines:

  • voltage levels
  • voltage flicker
  • transient impulses
  • voltage/current imbalance
  • voltage/current harmonics
  • power factor

Your account manager will present the report to you, discuss its implications and offer recommendations for addressing these issues in your business.

Resolving any power quality issues

For your business to operate at maximum efficiency, any issues identified in this audit must be resolved. As part of the audit, we will report on the power quality of the electricity supply from our network and within your premises.

If it is found that our supply does not meet the published standard, we will take corrective measures and your Power Quality Audit will be free of charge.

If any power quality issues are identified within your premises, we can then introduce you to our specialist Energy Services consultants, who can help you resolve any issue.

Arranging a power quality audit

If you would like more information or would actually like to arrange a power quality audit, your account manager will be pleased to organise this for you
