Detailed Energy Review

A detailed energy review analyses your energy consumption, your premises and your business operations, to find ways to cut your energy costs.

It’s a comprehensive review where we will:

• Review your business’ historical energy use for the past 12 months of all fuel types, based on your Synergy accounts and data provided by your site. As part of this process we can identify and estimate greenhouse gas emissions due to stationary energy use
• Identify and record energy users at the site, so we can segregate energy by type and by use. This will help work out which areas contribute to the base load, the peak demand and overall energy usage. We will gather site electrical load data and see if there are opportunities to save by using alternate tariffs
• Evaluate a range of operations including operating hours, plant and equipment operations, system maintenance and monitoring
• Prepare energy use indices and establish tracking methods, so you can then set targets and  monitor your improvement
• Look at ways to improve your metering and monitoring systems to help refine your energy management
• Identify modifications that could reduce energy costs. When energy efficiency projects are being evaluated, we focus on the major energy using plant. This may be either large plant items which individually use a great deal of energy or smaller equipment where many units are used for long hours. We specifically look for opportunities that have a combined financial and environmental benefit, are simple to implement and provide the best overall result for your site
• Determine how energy-aware your staff are and whether training in energy awareness and waste minimisation would be of benefit to your business
• Quantify the potential savings and associated costs of implementing our energy-saving recommendations. A financial analysis (payback calculation) of the opportunities we identify, will be included in your report
• Prepare a formal report detailing the project findings (a preliminary draft report will be issued and discussed with you before we present the final report).

These studies are conducted as a joint effort with your site personnel to ensure that you obtain the maximum benefit.
