Demolishing and Rebuilding

If you are demolishing your house you will first need to have the meter and leads removed.  Allow at least five working days in the metro area for this process.

  1. Please ensure that any active electricity account for the premise has been finalised.
  2. Complete the  remove the meter in preparation for demolition form.
  3. Once the demolition is complete, and the meter has been removed from the site, a new account can be established for the new residence.

    Call 6212 2105 to arrange a new account and obtain a reference number for inclusion with Electrical Notices which are faxed to Western Power.

Be prepared for the call with the following information: 

  • Full Address of the property including lot number and street number.
  • The name in which the account is to be established.
  • Postal address for accounts.
  • Business account? please provide your ABN, and directors details, including date of birth.
