Residential Sites

Synergy has a specialised team of experts who have developed forms and processes to make the process of connecting power to a new site/premise as simple as possible.  The information on this website is provided to clarify the process and you may call the team direct on Builder’s priority line 6212 2105 between 0800 and 1700 Monday to Friday for further advice.

 

Power Connections – the process steps

  1. Organise power to the site (underground dome may already be organised by Developer).  See Preparing the site for a Power Connection section on this website.
  2. Call Synergy to establish your electricity account and to obtain the reference number.
  3. Include reference numbers with Electrical Notices, which are submitted to the Network Provider Western Power by the Electrical Contractor.
  4. Western Power may arrange to inspect your site. Allow 5 working days in the Metropolitan area and 10 working days in Country areas from the date on which the Electrical Completion Notice is submitted to Western Power for the connection to be completed.  On most occasions Western Power will connect the site, however an accredited electrical contractor may connect the power on your behalf.
