Who should be the account holder?
The person taking responsibility for paying the accounts. In the case of a permanent supply the owner of a property may be the account holder so they can establish power to the premise for inspection prior to handover. In the case of a temporary supply the builder or electrician will normally be the account holder, as they are responsible for that meter during construction. This information may appear in a Building Contract.
When will my power be connected?
The service level agreement between Synergy and Western Power is that they will connect properties within 5 working days of receipt of the completion notice from the electrician in the Metropolitan area and 10 working days in Country areas. Your Electrician can confirm the date on which he submitted his completion notice. If there are any difficulties in connection, your electrician has the Western Power energisation departments direct number for further information.
